If you own your own lovely special cat then you are lucky because they bring lots of happiness to your life. If you want to spend most of your cat time with your cat then it means that you do not want to spend it cleaning his or her excrement. I am sure you all agree with me on that.
Technology means more time for you and your cat and it means you do not have to do the yuck stuff. Here are some different cat litter boxes that clean themselves:
Robot Arm - I am not going to be mentioning any brand names here, rather I am going to be talking about concepts of automation. This is the most popular where sensors know when your cat has done its business. A robotic arm will take all the solid chunks away in a sweeping motion and it will be disposed of in a plastic bag or separate section. You still have to do some work here by taking that waste away but it really is nothing compared to doing it all yourself. It cuts down what you have to do by half. For non-solids a odor and bacteria reducing material, like lime, will be used in this system also.

Flushable - This is somewhat extravagant. It is a toilet for your cat. it uses an advanced litter that is washable meaning that you do not need to buy new litter for a long time because it is washable for up to six months. This thing is so smart because it does almost everything on its own. After your cat does its business it will flush itself and then clean itself. I am not sure how much you would be into connecting this thing up to your plumbing but it may be awesome to just watch it at work.
With all automatic cat litter boxes, you will need to plug it into your electricity supply at home. So you will be saving time and effort by getting one of these but you will not be saving money on electricity.
There are many more advanced and technological cleaning systems out there for your cats box. Maybe you have already decided that you want one of the ones mentioned here or maybe it has prompted you to do some more research. Either way it is a good thing because we all need more time to love. Meow.
